For those of us with aging to mature skin, we have to take special care. Many of us age gracefully and/or we fully embrace the aging process. It's the "it is what it is" attitude. However, others have a hard time embracing and loving the skin they're in.
There are so many ways that we can, naturally, take care of our aging skin. Honestly, we should start taking care of our skin in our teens, but let's face it, who cared back then? LOL
But we as get older, we pay attention to our skin and realize some of our old habits may have caused damage. Some of these habits could include sun exposure, toxic make-up and/or skincare products, not washing the face regularly, etc. We begin to wonder, what do I now to try and slow down aging on my face?
Here are some tangible ways you can begin (at any age) to start taking care of your face skin. You skin deserves it.
1. LIMIT SUN EXPOSURE
2. Cleanse your skin, gently. Try not to rub your face or put toxic chemicals that will irritate the skin. Do not use face masks or scrubs, daily. Limit those to once - twice per week. Wash your face with a natural soap cleanser and pat to dry.
3. Moisturize your face with light weight oils. Do not use oils that will clog your pours. Use oils that is made similar to your skin's natural sebum. Some oils that I recommend are Jojoba Oil, Grapeseed Oil, Almond Oil, and Rosehip Seed Oil.
4. If you put a product on your face that stings or burns, stop using it.
5. Use a natural toner. Toners help get rid of left over debris.
Taking care of your skin does not have to be an overwhelming thing. Find what works for you and stick to that routine. Be consistent. If you are looking for age-defy products, shop harpersnaturals.com now.
